Reagan Brumley
Head Director
Reagan Brumley is the Director of Bands at Walnut Grove High School. Prior to this position, Mr. Brumley served as the Director of Bands at Lake Highlands High School in Richardson ISD. In this role, Mr. Brumley guided the rebuilding of the marching band into a consistent UIL and independent marching finalist and the concert bands into advanced ensembles performing highly demanding repertoire. From 2011-2020, Mr. Brumley was the Director of Instrumental Music for Highland Park ISD, where he served as Director of the “Highlander” Marching Band, conducted the Wind Symphony, and guided all aspects of the Highland Park Bands, grades 5-12. During Mr. Brumley’s tenure in this position, the HPHS Band advanced to the Texas State Marching Contest, twice advancing to the State Finals, earning the Silver Medal in 2019. The band advanced to the finals of the Area C Marching Contest at every opportunity. In addition, the band won grand championships and class championships at marching contests around DFW. Under Mr. Brumley’s direction, the Highland Park Wind Symphony twice earned State Honor Band Finalist status, finishing 2nd in the state in class 5A in 2019 and 4th in the state in 2017. The program also demonstrated a strong track record of success in the TMEA All-State process, placing the highest number of students in the All-State Bands of any 5A band program in their area in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Prior to Mr. Brumley’s appointment at Highland Park, he was the Associate Director of Bands at Berkner High School where he was the conductor of Symphonic Band II, led music rehearsals for the Class 6A State Marching Finalist Berkner Marching Band, coordinated the private lesson program, and taught 6th grade band in the cluster. Mr. Brumley also served as part of the teaching team that helped the Berkner Varsity Concert Band finish 2nd place in the state in 2010 and earn an invitation to the prestigious Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. Before his tenure at Berkner, Mr. Brumley also served on the band staffs of Lake Highlands High School and Red Oak High School and Junior High.
Mr. Brumley serves as President-Elect of the Texas Bandmasters Association. In 2018, Mr. Brumley was inducted into the Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity. He holds a Masters of Music in Wind Conducting from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a Bachelors of Music from the University of Texas-RGV. Mr. Brumley is in demand as a clinician and adjudicator throughout Texas. He and his wife, Cayce, reside in Dallas along with their children, Scarlett, Noelle, and Maddox.
Josh Crossman
Assistant Band Director
Mr. Crossman is an Assistant Director at Walnut Grove High School. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Director at Granbury High School in Granbury, Texas. During his tenure there, he lead the program’s Symphonic band, jazz program, and was an integral part of the visual instruction of the marching band. Under his direction, the Granbury Symphonic band was recognized as a Commended Winner of the Citation of Excellence award and received Superior ratings at UIL contests.
Mr. Crossman is a proud alum of Texas Christian University. While at TCU, he was an active performer in the Wind Symphony, Tuba Euphonium chamber ensembles, and was a Drum Major of the Horned Frog Marching Band for two seasons. While at TCU, Mr. Crossman was a performer with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps as a conductor for the 2022 season. Concluding his time at TCU, Mr. Crossman student taught at Carroll Senior High School and Dawson Middle School in Southlake, Texas.
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. Mr. Crossman resides in the DFW area and enjoys golfing, being outdoors, and spending time with his fiancé, Lexi. He is so excited
Presley Arvin
Assistant Band Director
Please help us welcome Presley Arvin as the new Assistant Band Director at Walnut Grove High School! Ms. Arvin most recently completed her student teaching experience here at Walnut Grove High School and Rogers Middle School and is thrilled to return as a staff member.
Prior to this appointment, she served on the visual staff at Hebron High School during the 2024 and 2025 marching seasons and maintained a private oboe studio throughout the DFW area. She is an active performer across North Texas, including appearances with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra and the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ms. Arvin holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of North Texas. While there, she studied oboe with Dr. Jung Choi and performed in the North Texas Wind Symphony under the direction of Eugene Corporon. During that time, she performed with the ensemble at the 2025 Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Arvin also served as Drum Major of the Green Brigade Marching Band and was honored with the 2024 Spirit of North Texas Award in recognition of her contributions to the ensemble. Additionally, Ms. Arvin was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity, serving as the Vice President of the Xi Beta Chapter!
Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and the National Association for Music Education, where she was recognized as a recipient of the 2026 Future Music Educator Award.
Originally from Frisco, Texas, Ms. Arvin looks forward to continuing her work in music education and contributing to the standard at Walnut Grove High School. We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Arvin to the Wildcat Band family!
Lindsay Vasko
Percussion Director
Lindsay Vasko is an avid percussion educator currently based in Dallas, Texas. Lindsay is joining the Walnut Grove High School Band Staff from Flower Mound, Texas where she taught in Lewisville ISD.
Ms. Vasko returned to Texas in 2019 after serving as Director of Percussion at Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, Tennessee. Lindsay has performed with ensembles such as Sō Percussion, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Waco Symphony Orchestra.
As a composer and arranger, Ms. Vasko has written for numerous concert and marching percussion ensembles across the country. She has provided masterclasses at numerous institutions and events across the country including the University of Michigan, Berklee College of Music, Eastern Tennessee State University, Central New York Day of Percussion, El Paso Jazz Girls and the Matt Savage Marching Percussion Camp.
Ms. Vasko was awarded a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She has been a member of the Vic Firth/Zildjian Education Team since 2019.
Ben Waddill
Assistant Percussion Director
Benjamin Waddill is a percussion specialist in Prosper ISD where he serves as the Percussion Director at Bridges Middle School and an Assistant Percussion Director at Walnut Grove HS. Mr. Waddill is a graduate of the University of North Texas and currently serves on the battery staff for Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He has worked with percussion programs at McKinney North High School, Plano West Senior High School, Scott Johnson Middle School and Cockrill Middle School,
Mr. Waddill is passionate about percussion education and helping students build strong fundamentals, musical confidence, and leadership skills through both concert and marching percussion. During his time at the University of North Texas, Mr. Waddill was a member of the Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, and several world music ensembles, including Steel Band, Balinese Gamelan, and Afro-Cuban Ensemble. His performance experience includes Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, Vigilantes Indoor Percussion, and Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Waddill enjoys playing tennis, pickleball and reading a good book.
Johnny Naw

Lexie Meyer
Color Guard Director
Ms. Lexie Meyer is the Color Guard Director at Walnut Grove High School. Ms. Meyer comes to us from Dawson High School where she has served as the Director of the Catalyst Color Guard for the past two years. Under her direction, the varsity color guard made TCGC State Finals both years competing in Scholastic Open, and in her second year the guard also made finals at both the WGI Houston Regional and the WGI San Antonio Super Regional. The marching band also advanced to UIL State both years, and the program grew to add a third winterguard during her tenure. Outside of Dawson, Lexie has continued to share her expertise as a choreographer for Walter E. Stebbins High School and as an instructor for Redemption Winterguard and Music City Drum and Bugle Corps.
A Cincinnati native and graduate of Colerain High School, Ms. Meyer earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Northern Kentucky University. She marched four years with The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps and was a member of Juxtaposition Winterguard before joining their staff. She has also served on the medical staff for The Bluecoats Alumni Corps, The Blue Stars, and Rhythm IN BLUE.
